The President's Fitness Challenge
Swam 2800metres in 45 minutes. I'm getting closer to what I use to be able to do, I'm happy!
I would've swam longer but I only had a short time between classes.
Hows everyone doing?
wow thats awesome, I just started swimming again, I want to do a triathlon in September, so I've been swimming 800 meters a day, but it takes me ~20-30 minutes. On top of that I've been cycling ~20-30 miles most days, 50+ on Saturdays. And I weight train 4x a day.
What did you used to be able to do?
I really wanted to go biking, but dont have one here only back home with the parents and I'm to broke to buy a cheap one. And wow, good job on the weight training.
3 years ago I was a competitive swimmer...long distance was my specialty. 200m butterfly and 200m breaststroke were my top 2 events. Every now and then in practice my coach would do a timed 30 minute swim and see how far we got, I was doing about 2500-2600metres.
i do the swim team, and i remember pratices like that. after the warm up, we went into a stright 2000 or 3000. it was my firstyear, so i was lucky and got to do the 2000 only.
for new years eve, we have to do 107 50's on a certain time. we still have to do warm up and cool down on that also. that was a few monthes ago, i would be lucky right now if i could complete a 200.

When I was on a team during Spring Break we had the this week called 10 x 10...it was 10 practices of 10,000metres. It was crazy, and our normal practices were 7000m and were 2 hours long. We also had running and weight training on top of it.
It was hard, but I miss it.

I've only just learned how to swim!! I hope i can get as good as you guy's. I'm learning to tread water and to swim underwater at the moment. I'm wanting to move onto diving, then maybe even take my life saving course one day. Listening to you's though, i think i have one heck of a long way to go!!! lol
